New Begginings is progressing through the current build sequence. Recent field notes cover framing, with weekly updates kept public-safe and focused on process rather than private project details.
New Beginnings opened with early site protection, temporary fencing, and the coordination needed to clear the way for foundation work. Excavation followed the next week, including slab removal and crawl-access openings so the footing sequence could start clean.
The footing inspection flagged one correction. The team fixed it before pouring, finished vertical bar work, and passed the follow-up inspection by photo review. Stem wall forms went up next so inspection and pour prep could stay on sequence instead of drifting.
Stem walls were stripped, then weatherproofing went on the walls and over the footings. That handoff matters: once moisture protection is in, the foundation is ready for backfill without rework later. This is the stage shown in the progress image.
Electrical prep finished ahead of framing while backfill wrapped up. Before the next phase, the crew coordinated a short punch list: sprinkler line and wire locations, plus hose bib removal, so small site conflicts would not stall floor framing.
The framing crew started floor-joist work and handled an inspection note with couplers at the anchor bolts. Work continued into the back deck area, tying structure decisions back to the foundation details already in the ground.
Exterior wall framing moved until rain hit the site. Instead of losing the week, the crew shifted to interior wall framing so structure kept advancing while weather delayed the exterior sequence.
Field work focused on cutting back roof and soffit areas for the front build-out. That kind of mid-structure adjustment has to stay coordinated with framing so later openings and exterior transitions land clean.
The project passed shear inspection. Framers continued house wrap and window install while roof tear-off moved into dry sheeting so the openings sequence and weather protection stayed tied together.
The team framed an overhang over the side garage man door, cut in skylights, and framed interior walls for sheetrock. Master bath tub wall framing went in, and pressure-treated ledgers were installed for the front and rear decks.
